According an old legend, the islands of Ha Long Bay were created by a great dragon that lived in the mountains. As it ran towards the coast, its flailing tail gouged out valleys and crevasses; as it plunged into the sea, the areas dug up by the tail became filled with water, and some of the stalagtites and stalagmites resemble parts of that dragon, including the head, the body and tail.
And then during the boat trip on Ha Long Bay, karsts with shapes like animals stick out from the water. You can use your imagination and see different shapes of animals in the rocks, such as lions, two chickens face-to-face, etc.
